Scouting

July 27, 7 am.

A pioneer community meets sleepy but anxious to leave for another adventure. An hour later, the bus departed destined for Scout camp Ferreira Zêzere where the first two days saw the raise of the most memorable buildings already witnessed by mankind.Only secured by sisal and trees that promised not hold more than its own weight, the young scouts build their Terra Nova , while all around them just saw with amazement the several meters high that the structures reached. At the end of the second day, there was a run of orientation, which began to set the pace of the days that followed. Only two days later started a "Raid" which is to get down in history as one of the toughest ever. Under more than 40 degrees, the brave scouts battled for most of two days against sunstroke, hunger and thirst. Not all of them finished it, but we know that all of them reached their limit. In a day devoted to rest, they could learn about the Civil Protection, and still satisfy some curiosities about the operation of a fire extinguisher. In the same space that had been ceded by the fire department to do the workshop of the day, it was then realized the campfire. The pieces, all comic, brought a smile to everyone present, and brought another historic achievement: A campfire where Ricardo Moreno did not fall asleep! The final part of this moment was, as it was expected, of farewell to the generation of '95, now part of a new stage of his Scout hike.In the end, it was St. Paul team who won the camp, winning bonus points for Friendship. However, all the participants returned back home far more complete for having participated in this venture. "
